Brooksany Barrowes will be lovingly remembered as a woman of extraordinary faith, courage, and compassion whose life profoundly touched the Alexandria community and beyond. She passed away peacefully at her home on May 10, 2026, at the age of 51, following a brave battle with stage 4 cancer. Despite her illness, Brooksany remained a source of strength and inspiration, serving others with grace, resilience, and unwavering hope.

A devoted member of the Alexandria 2nd Ward and the Mt. Vernon Virginia Stake, Brooksany faithfully served in many church callings, including Primary President and Young Women’s Adviser. Her kindness, wisdom, and Christlike love uplifted countless lives and strengthened the faith of many.

Known for her remarkable determination, Brooksany even climbed Mount Kilimanjaro while battling cancer, symbolizing her fearless spirit and commitment to living life fully. Professionally, she was a highly respected energy lawyer recognized nationally and internationally for her integrity and excellence.

A graduate of Brigham Young University and the University of Chicago Law School, Brooksany cherished family, faith, and friendship above all else. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of service, resilience, love, and inspiration that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
