It is with profound sadness that family and friends announce the passing of Teagan Alivia Leonard of Grain Valley, Missouri, who left this world far too soon on May 13, 2026, at the age of 19. Teagan’s passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, as they remember a young woman whose kindness, intelligence, and gentle spirit made a lasting impact on everyone around her.
Teagan was deeply loved from the very beginning. To her parents, Vincent and Shauna Leonard, she was the fulfillment of a lifelong dream and the heart of their family. She carried a quiet strength and warmth that drew people to her naturally. Smart, witty, compassionate, and thoughtful, Teagan had a beautiful way of making others feel seen and cared for. Though reserved at times, she loved deeply and wholeheartedly those fortunate enough to earn a place in her heart.
Her bond with her family was especially meaningful. Teagan shared a close and growing connection with her brothers, Gavin and Gage Leonard, and treasured the companionship she found in Aishwarya “Ash” Aryal, who became like the sister she had always wanted. She also shared a special relationship with her boyfriend, Eli Hernandez, who held an important place in her life and heart.
Despite her young age, Teagan had already achieved so much. She earned both her CNA and Esthetician licenses and was pursuing her dream of becoming a nurse. Her determination and ambition were remarkable, and she approached every goal with confidence and dedication. Those who knew her understood that once Teagan set her mind on something, she pursued it wholeheartedly.
Teagan embraced life’s experiences with excitement and curiosity. She loved traveling, trying new foods, and sharing those discoveries with the people she loved most. Whether bringing home a favorite snack for her family to taste or spending quiet moments with her beloved cats — especially Moose, whom she adored endlessly — Teagan found joy in both adventure and life’s simplest moments.
She is survived by her loving parents, Vincent and Shauna Leonard; her brothers, Gavin and Gage; Ash Aryal; her grandmothers, Janice Smith and Patricia Leonard; her boyfriend, Eli Hernandez; and many family members and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Garry Smith and Roger Leonard.
Visitation services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley, Missouri, followed by a Celebration of Teagan’s Life at 5:00 p.m.
Though Teagan Leonard’s life was tragically short, the love she shared and the memories she created will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
